Be honest: How many times in your life did you promise yourself that with the advent of the new year /month/day you will definitely start looking after your body? We ourselves have repeatedly been noticed for such impulses, and we are sure that it is time to cease enduring it! Stop looking for convenient classes, a fitness club, convenient membership – we have already done everything for you. BodyArt fitness was chosen as a perfect place: trust me, that fact that it is located in the very centre of Kiev is not the only reason to label it “perfect”.
In the BodyArt fitness you will feel yourself home where you can easily find everything you need for training, such as, state-of-the-art Reebok equipment and StarTrac machines from the American manufacturer. And most importantly – you will find a good personal instructor who will select both a program and a diet for you.
Personal instructor is not just a person who forbids eating cookies and watches your water balance: often he becomes a friend. These heroic people usually stay up to date not only with your diet, but with your daily regime too. BodyArt fitness has a lot of good specialists, and from personal experience we made sure that they not only successfully select the load and make up the program, but also create a great mood for the whole day.
BodyArt fitness holds competitions – “Body Revolution” fitness marathon which will help you get rid of excess weight. The club pays special attention to this problem, because obesity is often not just a whim, but a desire to become healthy. We are sure: to succeed, you need good motivation, and winning the marathon is a great challenge for everyone. Individualized meal plan, workouts and 90 min group classes will ensure you have even greater results.
Within the individual programs, a BodyArt fitness specialist picks exercises, style and type of training for each client. We also snatched and opportunity and asked a trainer to design an individual training program for our journalist. Having heard a response offering to try out a sky-yoga complex, we headed to the gym in a moment.
The first thing we must find out before starting classes is the benefits of sky-yoga over the traditional yoga. The main difference between these two is a location, if to say it briefly: sky-yoga exercises, as you can guess, are done in the air, or precisely speaking, in a hammock. Thanks to such important aspect as the correct distribution of your weight and the ability to work with it, you be will be able to properly stretch all parts of your spine without pinching it in either the chest or the lumbar region.
Sky-yoga is great for those who are new to yoga and have not yet a chance to master even the simplest asanas. In a hammock, you will never have problems with performing even such “unstable” poses as “mountain”, “dog”, “warrior” and others.
Having finished with our awareness program, we proceeded to our first stage of the training: joint stretching and warm up. The trainer instructed us on how to use the hammock and to balance, and, once the adaptation period was behind, we switched to asanas, which require complete taking off from the floor.
“When our customers try to roll over on a hammock for the first time, many of them face real fear. They are afraid of weightlessness, so the exercise can become a real test of courage. Of course, this can interfere with the course of training, but, often, in the end, everyone decides to roll over,” says Natalia Lodynska, a BodyArt fitness instructor.
Then we proceeded to more complex, or “inverted”, poses that required special concentration. They are not always included in the first lesson, but we could not to miss them. The most important thing at this stage is for a person to be in his comfort zone. The final stage is our favourite asanas called savasana which is about relaxation. Usually, savasana is given a longer portion of time with exercises performed both at the beginning and at the end of the session. “You can start with savasana to“feel” the hammock. By the way, relaxation poses can be practised for more than ten minutes, but since our lesson lasts only one hour, I allow for it a maximum of 7 minutes,” says the instructor.
Beauty auditor’s verdict: BodyArt fitness is a comfortable fitness club located in the centre of Kyiv where you will definitely get what you came for, be it body weight control, a toned body or a simply an emotional discharge. The sky-yoga course will help to put into shape not only your body, but your thoughts too, while a mindful instructor will select the best training program.
