Ab exercises everyone must know:
- Bicycle. For this exercise, lie on your back, put your hands behind your head, bend your legs at 45 degree angle and extend your legs into the air like you are pedalling a bicycle.
- Parallel bars leg raises is the most popular ab exercise you can see at a gym. It is performed at the end of a workout and is suitable both for beginners and professionals. Holding onto the bars with relaxed abs and back, raise your straight legs to a horizontal position. If you can’t raise perfectly straight legs, you may raise them bent in knees.
- Crunches: oblique, regular, combined, stability ball crunches, weighted crunches. One of the most effective modifications are decline bench crunches. Lie down on the bench set at approx. 30 degree angle, secure your legs, bend your legs and lock your hands behind your head. Raise you torso to a vertical position, hold for a few seconds and go down.
Always feeling the abs muscle during the exercise means that you are doing it right. Otherwise the exercises is either too easy for you or you do it wrong. We wish you success and looking forward to seeing you in the gym!
