The first sign of the coming spring is that women start showing interest in diets and express weight loss programs offered by fitness centres.

WoMo addressed the creators of one of such programs to ask about what these programs are and what the secret for their success is.

BodyArt fitness holds their “Body Revolution” marathon for the third time now. This is a unique program for those willing to lose weight, tone up their body and learn about good eating habits.

What fitness level should people have to join the fitness program?
The program is for people with absolutely different fitness level, age, and health. For example, during the “Body Revolution” each client fills in a preliminary questionnaire, where he or she describes his or her health issues. Also a client describes what kind of sport he or she has been into before, if any, and what he or she expects from the course: someone wants to lose 5 kg, and someone – 20 kg. All this is taken into account.
Further, group workouts, which consist of mixed exercises from various fitness areas, are designed to meet the needs of the group.
Also, we have trainers in the gym who will offer alternative exercises to those who cannot do the main ones. For example, if a group does dubstep, then the instructor will offer a small step or regular aerobic exercises to a client who has varicose legs to replace the contraindicated Tae Bo. Those who need to work on their back, will be offered gym workouts.
You should avoid programs where instructors are not interested in your health and there is no individual approach to group trainings.

How important is diet in a weight loss program?
Diet is the most important. But you need to understand that dieting in the sense in which many perceive it – giving up a certain group of products – usually leads to health problems. And to the fact that the weight loss result that you achieved will soon fade away once the program ends.
BodyArt fitness uses different method in its Body Revolution program. Our instructor specialising in nutrition designs a meal plan individually for each client, taking into consideration his or her height, weight, age, gender, type of activity, as well as a desired weight he or she wants to lose. This is not a diet. This is a healthy, smart, balanced diet that fits the needs of a person. And what is also important, the diet is presented not as recommendations, but as a detailed menu with exact weight of each meal in grams.
One of the secrets of success of the “Body Revolution” program is that our clients keep a food diary where they write down everything they eat throughout a day. And at the end of each week, the instructor checks all the diaries and adjusts the menu according to the needs, goals, and effectiveness. Also, a client can call the instructor at any time and ask recommendations as to what products to choose in a store or what to do if at some point he or she broke the diet.
Individualized approach to diet, as well as detailed nutritionist’s recommendations and their control play a role which is as important as the individualized training routine.

How to keep the result once the program is over?
“Body Revolution” program was designed in such a way that in six weeks a person would not only lose weight and bring their body into good shape, but also get used to exercising and keeping healthy diet.
Experience shows that six weeks is the best time to achieve all goals: reduce excess weight, get a fit toned body, as well as to learn to control your weight by exercising and eating healthy food. Programs with a shorter duration will help you lose weight, but you will not develop good eating and regular exercising habits.
